Peak District Walking Festival 2007I see that that the Peak District is to host a walking festival from April 27th – May 7th. Now this isn’t really my thing, but I can see the benefits for beginners and those who like to walk in the company of others. Over 100 events are planned. Mostly they are guided walks, and I have to say that the list of events is impressive. The programme includes Derbyshire well-dressings. 75th anniversary celebrations of the mass trespass on Kinder Scout, and walking with story-tellers. Full details of the walking festival are here. |
